New film club offer free film viewing

He said he hopes to study at Notre Dame or the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate and UT as a graduate student. Even if he decides to leave the state to his pursue his film studies, he plans to return to Texas to make films in his native state, Nagy said.
"I really don't want to go to California because its market is saturated," Nagy said. "Thousands of people are concentrating in the same town and trying to do the same thing. It means (it's) very competitive."
In the film industry, to establish friendships and networks among other talented people is the most important aspect if one wants to survive, according to Nagy.
For people who want to get the first step into the film industry, the club may be the best chance in the Midland community.
Photography, acting and music all flow together into a big pot, Nagy said.
For those who have been unable to commit to any one of those arts, but want to start film study, the club may be the first step in figuring out which aspect of film they want to get into, Nagy said.
The date and time of each showing will be advertised on posters around the MC campus and on Facebook. The exhibitions usually began at 6:30 p.m., on Saturdays, in the Wagner and Brown auditorium in the AFA building.
